I have a cat who likes to lick deodorant from under my arms. I could understand if it was sweat but we are talking about freshly showered with deodorant newly applied. One of my cats does that and now my youngest one just tried licking some deodorant that got on my clothing. I know it's not good for them and I stop them. I just want to know what can be appealing in deodorant? Yuck!
Why do some cats like to lick deodorant?
My cat likes to lick my neck after I apply sports gel. I figured out that it closely resembles the smell of catnip(mint). Your deodorant may be doing the same by triggering something in the cats brain like a minty like smell resembling catnip.

one of my cats LOVEs to lick rubbing alcohol or vicks vaporub, ect,
i put it on when im sick or sore %26amp; i wake up with my cat liking me.
