Deodorant stop working during pregnancy?

i have noticed since i started my 2nd trimester that my secret (any other ) deodorant does seam to work the same. i dont smell but by the end of the day i can smell under my arm (tmi) and it smells like BO.......... is it hormones? is this normal,,

Yes, its a pain in the *** isnt it! It made me really self concious too so what I started doing was carrying those deo-wipes around in my bag as well as a small deodorant spray and if I started to feel like I was getting wiffy then I would nip to a public loo and freshen up. You are completely normal hun x

Reply:In pregnancy your body seems to sweat more, it happens to me too.. I use Nivea roll on and it seems to keep me good all day. Give it a go and see how you go.

Reply:This is actually fairly common. Yes, it can be hormones, as well as many other things. Also, if this does this on your deodorant, it may de-activate perfumes as well. This is also common in women who work with electronics.





Your best bet is to try a cover up, like some scented oils or something. These can be bought at any incense store.

Reply:You might be sweating a little more due to the 40% increase in blood volume. But, it's probably more due to the fact that your sense of smell is much more distinct during pregnancy.
