Deodorant causes hard armpits after wash and dry, is this removable?

I use Mitchum antiperspirant deodorant, which means it has an alumninum-based compound to stop sweating. The problem is that this stuff gets in the armpit area of a shirt and once it goes through the laundry and through the dryer the heat causes the to armpits come out hard! How annoying!

I'm wondering if there's something to reverse this hardening. I don't want to have to throw shirts out. The first step is to stop using this stuff.

Can I save these shirts!?!?

When our kids used Mitchum, I tried *everything* to get that hard stuff out of the underarms of their T shirts (including Fels Naptha). Nothing had any effect whatsoever, not Zout, Shout, Biz, presoaking, scrubbing with a brush, hot water, *boiling* water, different detergents...

People with problem sweat have a new option, a great many brands of deodorant labeled "Clinical Strength" which contain a highly effective product that didn't used to be available. Our kids switched to these and like them just fine.

But what to do about the stiff-pits shirts, I haven't a clue.
Reply:First of all .. use a clinical strength deodorant .. and u won't sweat as much .. u can find it over the counter in any drug store .. and use spray n wash dual power stain remover it worked for me!
Reply:I've been told (never used it) that a soap called Fels Naptha I believe can fix what you're talking about.

Soak, scrub, and then run through washer/dryer.
Reply:Unfortunally I don't think so ! =( Try using a clear deodorant!
