Deodorant rash healing help!?

I used a different kind of deodorant yesterday and now I have a rash that is red and itchy on my armpits.

What can I do to heal it faster, I have a concert to go to friday and don%26#039;t want it there.

I have on a mixture of vaseline and neopherine.

Deodorant rash healing help!?
Don%26#039;t use vaseline or whatever the other thing you wrote (I%26#039;m a nurse and don%26#039;t know what that is!). If you mean neosporin, please take that off too. It%26#039;s not good to use antibiotic ointments for every little thing.

Wash you arm pits in warmish soapy water to get that greasy vaseline off. Then rinse in cool water. When you have a rash, it%26#039;s better to keep it cool so the histamines will stop being produced. Sleep without a shirt on, if possible, or at least wear something light so you won%26#039;t sweat.

Get some .5% hydrocortisone cream and put a very tiny amount on the worse parts of the rash. You don%26#039;t want to pile a lot on because you shouldn%26#039;t absorb too much of it. If it%26#039;s really itchy, you can take some benadryl tonight and tomorrow night.

Don%26#039;t put any deodorant on until the rash is cleared up. Write down the name of that deodorant so you don%26#039;t buy it again, and check to see what ingredient it contains that your normal deodorant doesn%26#039;t have, so you can avoid that ingredient in the future!

Have fun at the concert!
Reply:wash well in plain water, not a bunch of soap that will irritate it. Tonight and tomorrow, wear a shirt that will not rub in your armpit. And if you can get away with it, no deodorant at all tomorrow, so as not to irritate the sensitive area. If all goes well, you%26#039;ll be good to go for Friday.
Reply:I suggest Hydrocoirtisone(sp) cream, Gold Bond ointment or powder, maybe even calomine lotion. Basically any kind of anti itch cream. Also, you could try some neosporin to help it heal faster! Are you sure it%26#039;s from this new deoderant or could it be from a dull razor? Try exfoliating(scrubbing with a loofah or something similar) your pits in the shower before you shave and/or put deoderant on, that could help too! Try to let your armpits get some air too, by wearing tanktops, that will help healing, and possibly dry the bumps out so they%26#039;ll disappear faster!
