can someone recommend a natural deodorant that 1. doesn't have alluminum and 2. really works?
Natural deodorant?
tom's of maine has a few good ones. also check out lush.com. all of their products are all natural; most are vegan as well. tom's of maine lavender works for me...doesn't stop the sweat but controls odor; aromaco from lush works well too.
Reply:Try this one.
Natural Deodorant
2 ounces witch hazel (any drug store)
5 drops each sage and lavender essential oils
Combine ingredients in a spray bottle. Shake well before every application.
Reply:I use Burt's Bees Herbal Deodorant. It works great!
Reply:I like the Adidas brand.. I buy it at WalMart.. smells good, doesn't have aluminum, and it works. :)
Reply:lol, I was JUST searching about this on Yahoo Answers.
Anyway people have been recommending liquid chlorophyll and the only specific brand I've seen is BodyMint.
Reply:there's a brand called mike (something) in groceries stores that works..pharmacies carry a kind made out of crystals that works well and then there is old fashioned baby powder
Reply:I like Avalon Organics deodorant. It works good for me and no aluminum.
Reply:I live in FL and the regular deodorant doesn't even work...
I tried that crystal salt thing, and although I still sweated a lot, I didn't smell that bad.
Tom's of Maine works OK, but not for an all day thing.
My boyfriend uses Old Spice which doesn't have aluminum, and he always smells good. Its easy to find mens' deodorants that don't have the aluminum, but womens' is a different story...
I tried the Addidas brand, too. Its OK, not as good as the salt from the stink, but I like to have the scent under there to cover the stink up. Maybe use both the salt and the addidas. I do that sometimes and it works OK.
Reply:A health food store can help you there
Reply:I have been using Crystal or Thai Salts for years. They have them in solid and roll on forms in most drug stores and places like Target and Wal-Mart. You have to look on the bottom shelf since the companies that make them do not pay for placement. You have to put them on wet but when it dries it kills the bacteria that causes the smells. The solid lasts about a year or so and costs around $7, the liquid is about $3. and lasts a month. It is a deodorant only and not an anti perspirent.
Reply:Liquid chlorophyll is an internal deodorant that deodorises your interior and reduces the odour of everything that comes out including perspiration.
