**PLEASE HELP!** MEN'S deodorant (uncented) for a WOMAN?

Hi, I have a problem with sweaty armpits... not smelly, just sweaty. NOTHING works (I%26#039;ve even tried Certain Dry and Drysol, which I am allergic to), and I had a reaction to botox injections, which are now being used to treat hyperhydrosis. Anyway, I was thinking, what about a MEN%26#039;S deodorant (antiperspirant), as long as it%26#039;s unscented??? I read an article a while ago saying that men%26#039;s deodorant works better and it%26#039;s less irritating to the armpits. That%26#039;s my other problem, I have really sensitive skin and the only thing I%26#039;ve been able to use that works somewhat without causing a rash is Dove Sensitive Skin. Does anyone think that this men%26#039;s deodorant idea will work, and if so, can you suggest a brand? Someone said Mitchum, but other than that I have no idea what to try. THANKS!

P.S. I know my avatar is very odd looking, but that%26#039;s not what I really look like -- I set it like that to draw attention to my questions!!! So please no %26quot;you%26#039;re hormonally challenged%26quot; replies. :)

I%26#039;ll just give you a cut and dry answer: Mitchum will probably work the best.

Drysol is common to be allergic to (it%26#039;s VERY irritating to the armpits), and it%26#039;s unfortunate that the botox didn%26#039;t work. The only real alternative, short of surgery, is to try different antiperspirants until you find one that works the best.
Reply:hey dnt use antiperspirants since its d reason for causing breast cancer.. beware.. Report It

Reply:I%26#039;ve got the %26quot;sweaty pits%26quot; problem, too. I don%26#039;t know if this will cause a rash w/ur sensitive skin, but Secret just came out with a medicated strength. I%26#039;ve been using it for two weeks, and I will never go back to anything else (i used to get sweat marks down to my elbow)
Reply:I use Mithcum (the clear gel unscented) and I like it.
Reply:if certain dri doesn%26#039;t work for you, then I doubt a man%26#039;s deoderant will help. See a doctor about it, they might can give you some prescription deoderant. Or you could have the operation to disable the sweat glands that goto your pits.
Reply:There are other better ways to relieve sweaty armpits than wearing deoderant alone.

The amount of body odor you produce is based on the ability of your body to filter substances that it intakes. The stuff that it filters out and expels through sweat smells bad. The better your body is at filtering, the more bad stuff it expels, and the more your sweat smells. It has to do with genetics, there%26#039;s nothing you can really do about how your body filters. However, there are ways to reduce or eliminate the odor.

Let me tell you a secret about deoderant: it does not eliminate odors. All it does is mask them, and therefore, if your smell is too strong, then it will still %26quot;come through%26quot;. My sister had this same problem. What you really need is something to kill germs. Make a powdery mixture of baking soda and cornstarch, one part baking soda to one part cornstarch. The baking soda will disenfect your armpits. Baking soda, if used in excess, can create a burning feeling, so some cornstarch is used to dilute it so no burning occurs. After you shower and your armpits are well-dried, apply a some of the mixture to your armpits using an old powder-applying pad that comes with makeup. Lightly brush off the excess. Now, your armpits won%26#039;t stink. After this, lightly spray on some deoderant just to add a nice smell. This is not necessary at all, you won%26#039;t give off any foul odors anway, but this just adds nice smells to it. My sisters armpits used to stink this salty-fishy (sry, i know thats disgusting) smell before she started doing this. I hope that this helped and good luck!
